How to Transparent background color or Set Opacity in Android

Hello friends today we are studying how to do transparent background or set opacity.
I am sharing here step by step--

Firstly you go to make new Androidproject.
And now you go manifest.xml and make your activity translucent like ..

<activity
    android:name="com.samset.transparent.background.MyActivity"
    android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Translucent"
    android:label="@string/app_name" >

Now you go your activity.xml like..

<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"

    android:layout_height="match_parent"
    android:orientation="vertical"
    android:background="#990000"
    tools:context=".MainActivity">

now your activity full opacity state if you are change some opacity then follow below instructions...
